Day 3: June 25

Donna elected to have a quiet day. The rest of us headed into Canada Place to catch the Hop on Hop off bus.

We hopped off at Stanley Park and hired e-bikes to ride the 10km around the park. Apart from being told by a local rider early-on to stay on the right and that it was two-way, our ride was incident free. Riding along the sea wall was a great way to explore the area.

Walking in the park
Keep to the left! NO! The right!
Found this great tour guide on the way. Leant all about Harry Winston Jerome – 9.1 seconds for the 100 yard dash.
Stay away from any drop-offs, Madonna. Don’t want a repeat of our riding incident in Germany.
Under the bridge

We returned the bikes, jumped back on the bus and went to Granville Island for lunch. We were given a booth near the window and enjoyed a great lunch.

Canadian geese crossing the road at Granville Island. All cars stopped.
Lunch!

The bus was ditched (completed 8 of the 14 stops) and Mark, Wayne and I headed back to the house. The rest of the team trawled the markets before returning for an afternoon sleep.

Market haul!

We walked to the Boston Pizza and Sports Bar to watch Australia play Paraguay. Another great day.

Televisions all around the room. America playing one end and Australia our end.
