Day 10: July 2

Ketchikan

What a beautiful little town! We caught the tenders in – our ship had to wait for a berth.

A couple of yellow cards while waiting for the tender.
Yes! The yellow card is the sponge Danny stole from our Vancouver residence.

We split up and did our own things until 2:15 of the p.m. Wayne, Danny, Madonna and I walked the Salmon Trail.

Six cruise ships and 16 589 passengers in town.
It is not easy being female!
Had to go down an embankment and through forest to touch the water…
…or you could have taken a few extra steps and touched the water without the bush-bashing!
Danny takes such a better photo. He got the flag in. I pay homage!
A great totem.
Reflection time.
There was a banana incident. Due to being caught out with no food on our glacier tour day, Danny packed a couple of bananas in his bag…two days ago. First notification was the brown stain on his jumper, then the wet bag. What a mess!

We did a bit of shopping and met the team for the lumberjack show and crab feast.

Those arms!
That agility.
Bring in the chainsaws.
Great photo, Danny. He is a pro!
Show us your claw or is it your craw?
So much crab – Jo was an expert and onto her next lot in no time.
Yes, please!
In seafood heaven!
This crab is delicious.
Even Wayne enjoyed the crab
B.C. (before crab)
A.D. (After Delicious crab)
Who is your wife, Wayne?
Pay-back
Another Daniel shot: A bald eagle caught a fish and flew straight over us as we were walking back to the ship.

Orange party night and Donna had made shirts for us to wear. I think we stood out. We listened to some karaoke, played a bit of trivia and started watching bands.

Team Potato Heads – thanks for the shirts, Donzie!
Eight Mr Potato Heads
A cool Mr Potato
Dancing to get more points in the trivia
Enjoying the Dutch sweet treats (orange is the Dutch Royal colour)

I was the first to leave so the rest of this post is hearsay! I believe Danny, Madonna and Wayne were last ones standing and they were celebrating with Brooke, Trey and family. Trey is going to come to Australia one day soon and stay with us.

Danny’s highlight of the day – meeting the claw or is it the craw?
